We are looking for illustrators, painters and designers to make holiday and greeting cards with us. Send a design. If we feature it, families personalize it with their own photos and words, your name prints on the back of every card, and you earn 10% of every order made with it. You keep the copyright.

How it works

From your sketchbook to their mailbox.

Send a design. A finished card, or a strong piece of art you would like to see on one. Use the form below.
A person looks at it. Every design is reviewed by hand, and you hear back within two weeks either way.
We set it up. We build it into our card maker so customers can add their photos and names, and show you a proof. Nothing goes live until you are happy with it.
You earn on every order. 10% of what the customer pays for the cards, paid to you directly each month.

What we need

The ground rules.

Your own, original work. Nothing copied, traced or licensed from someone else.
Made by you, not generated by AI. Drawn, painted or designed by a person. Digital drawing is welcome; AI-generated images are not.
No characters, logos or brands, and no photos of people you did not take.
Leave room for them. Most cards carry a photo and a family name. Leave space for both, or tell us where they should go.
Files: 5 x 7 inches at 300 dpi is ideal. Layered PSD, AI or PDF is best; a flat PNG or JPG is fine to start.
US artists for now, because we pay you directly and need a W-9 for that.

The terms, plainly

You keep your art. We share every sale.

10% of every order made with your design: of what the customer pays for the cards, before sales tax and after any discount. If an order is refunded, its share is too.
You keep the copyright. You give us permission to sell your design as printed products on martiancreative.com. Nothing else.
Not exclusive. Sell the same work anywhere else you like.
We adapt it for the card, with color versions and our customers' own photos, names and words. We never sell your design as a file.
Your name on every card: "Design by" on the back, and your own page here listing your designs.
Paid monthly, directly, once you are owed $25 or more, for orders shipped at least 30 days earlier. Below that it carries over.
Leave any time with 30 days' notice. Orders already placed are still printed and still paid.

If we feature your design, we send you the full one-page artist agreement to sign before it goes live, and ask for a W-9 before your first payment. Sending a design commits you to nothing.
